Andy Murray beats Milos Raonic in Cincinnati Open semi-finals
Andy Murray guided into the remainder of the ATP Tour Cincinnati Open with a 6-3 6-3 win over Canada's Milos Raonic.
Wimbledon and Olympic Games champion Murray secured his 22nd straight win, and 50th of the year, against the man he beat to lift his third Grand Slam title a month back.
Much like the straggling leftovers of the week in the Ohio city, storm had sway in the early stages as play was called after only four centers had been possible.
Regardless, Murray returned in hungry perspective and broke to lead 3-1, with a second break enough to secure the opening set as there were no unquestionable signs of the shoulder and back issues that have affected him this week.
Raonic fail to improve in the second set and a singular break, won from the primary break point he secured, was adequate to see Murray through to the last, where he will go up against either Grigor Dimitrov or Marin Cilic.
"I didn't get broken the last couple of matches and when I was in troublesome circumstances I utilized sound judgment." said Murray, twice a champion in Cincinnati and now unbeaten since destruction to Novak Djokovic in the French Open toward the end in May.
"That is kept the matches shorter. In the event that you're a bit lower on assurance, paying little regard to how new you are, whether you haven't played loads of matches you settle on terrible decisions in those minutes.

"Additionally, because I've won an incredible arrangement the latest couple of months, that is something that has been extraordinary, especially this week doubtlessly. I've obliged it to be because of I haven't been feeling incredible. I've made sense of how to move beyond the matches truly well."
On Raonic, he included: "I think he was endeavoring to be strong. I think he submitted maybe a greater number of blunders than anticipated in this way.
"Maybe it gave the possibility that he was as a result more compelling, be that as it may I felt like he submitted more blunders since he was endeavoring to be more strong than anticipated. That is the way by which it felt to me."
